IEEE Students of Panimalar Engineering College participated in the IEEE Xtreme 12.0, a 24-hours global contest, to demonstrate their proficiency in the analysis of complex problems and provide fruitful solutions. Out of the 9500 worldwide contestants comprising 4024 teams, 25 teams from PEC participated and won 8 rankings at the Global and Regional levels.

PECTEAM 2K19, an International Conference organized by Panimalar Engineering College, was graced by a conglomerate of eminent scholars, Dr. K.Balaraman, Director General, NIWE, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Smt. V. Meenalochiny, Deputy Director General, Dept. of Telecommunications, Special Guest Dr. Pao-Ann Hsiung, Director, Smart Living Technology Research Center, National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan, and presided by Dr. P. Chinnadurai, Secretary & Correspondent, Dr. C. Sakthikumar and Dr. Saranya Sree Sakthi Kumar, Directors and Dr. K.Mani, Principal. The global forum brought together the World’s leading multidisciplinary expertise from across the Universities to tackle the most pressing global challenges. In total, 520 novel papers research papers were received in various domains from all over India and abroad, out of which, 155 innovative papers were presented.

Panimalar Engineering College, in its vision to develop a vibrant student community of par excellence and provide an opportunity to exhibit their novel ideas, organized Poster Presentation Contest for the basic level engineering students in 2019. Mr. C. Sakthikumar, Director, Panimalar Group of Institutions presided and interacted with the students. Nearly 100 teams from different parts of India participated in this unique event and presented their innovative ideas.

Mr. V.Ashok, Project Head, from HCL Technologies addressed the students by sharing his experience in Cloud Computing.

This Workshop is conducted in association with IEEE Computer Society and CSI from 09-02-2017 to 11-02-2017.The workshop was graced by Dr.K.Mani, Principal and Dr.S.Malathi, Dean/PG-Engineering. Mr. V.Ashok, Project Head, from HCL Technologies addressed the students by sharing his experience in Bigdata. He gave live demo and explain the concepts of Pig, Hive ,HBase, HBase Architecture, MapReduce Integration ,SQOOP.

Guest Lecture is conducted in association with IEEE Computer Society and CSI on 07-11-17. The Guest Lecture was graced by Dr.K.Mani, Principal and Dr.S.Malathi, Dean/PG-Engineering. Dr.Rajeswari Sridhar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Anna University addressed the students by sharing her experience in Machine Learning Techniques and explained the concepts of Support vector machine, Ensemble learning and k-means algorithm.

Guest Lecture is conducted in association with IEEE Computer Society and CSI on 13-02-17. The Guest Lecture was graced by Dr.S.Malathi, Dean/PG-Engineering. Dr.K.Valarmathi, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Panimalar Engineering College addressed the students by sharing her experience in Python.

This event is conducted in association with IEEE Computer Society and CSI on 16-03-18. The awareness program was graced by Dr.S.Malathi, Dean/PG-Engineering. She addressed the students by sharing her experience and gave brief introduction about benefits of IEEE and how to apply for funds and awards in IEEE . All the IEEE Professional members and IEEE students members of all the societies have participated in this awareness program.

Guest Lecture is conducted in association with IEEE Computer Society and CSI on 16-03-18. The Guest Lecture was graced by Dr.K.Mani, Principal and Dr.S.Malathi, Dean/PG-Engineering. Dr. Rejin Bose, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology (SMIT) addressed the students by sharing his experience in Mobile Communication. He gave introduction about Origin of mobile communication and explained the Generations of Mobile Communication.

The inauguration of “IEEE Societies” on 19-02-2018. During inauguration Mr.H.R.Mohan, Vice Chairman, IEEE Madras Section addressed the Participants by sharing his experience and also gave his valuable ideas on how to make use of IEEE and benefits of IEEE. The inaugural function was graced by Dr.S.Malathi, Dean/PG-Engineering.

This Workshop is conducted in association with IEEE Computer Society and CSI on 21-09-17 & 22-09-2017.The workshop was graced by Dr.K.Mani, Principal and Dr.S.Malathi, Dean/PG-Engineering. Mr. Gokul Kumar, Project Head, Pantech ProEd Pvt Ltd addressed the students by sharing his experience in Internet of Things. He gave live demo about how IoT plays a vital role in various real time applications like domestic environment controller, mobile etc.,

This Workshop is conducted in association with IEEE Computer Society and CSI on 05-10-17 & 06-10-2017.The workshop was graced by Dr.K.Mani, Principal and Dr.S.Malathi, Dean/PG-Engineering. Mr. Ashok Kumar, Project Head, Zebros Electronics India Private Limited addressed the students by sharing his experience in Robotics. He gave live demo about how Robotics plays a vital role in various real time applications like Social Robot, Medical and healthcare Robot etc.
