Welcome to Information Technology

The department of Information Technology has been established in the year 2000, recognized by AICTE and affiliated to ANNA UNIVERSITY, accredited by NBA. The department offers a four year degree program in Information Technology, well known for its academic excellence and has rendered a great service in empowering the students into a successful software engineers. The Department has the state-of-the-art facilities for various labs, well equipped Seminar halls, class rooms and Library to support e-learning. The students of our department are given great exposure towards the industries by conducting Guest Lectures and workshop from industry experts.
The industry working environment experience is provided to the students by encouraging the student to attend corporate in plant training and industrial visit for every semester. Various additional value added courses are conducted to enrich the knowledge of our students. Motivational classes are conducted for to make the students to give their active participation in all aspects. To refresh the students mind, Information Technology Expert Association Club organizes various interesting events like quiz, group discussion, presentation on Innovation, Mobile App Development, Code Best etc. after the college hours. We also provide individual attention to make them good citizens of our nation to serve the industry and society constructively.

PEO 1: Learning Initiatives To provide Excellent Knowledge on Fundamental Computing Technology and Embedded System to inculcate interest and awareness in IT stream.

  • PEO 2: Knowledge Acquaintances To mould the student to synchronize the acquired theoretical knowledge with practical applications in real time situations.

  • PEO 3: Knowledge Exploration To provide an insight for analyzing current trends, to explore the future issues in different perspectives of computing environment.

  • PSO 1: Basic Domain Knowledge and Design formulation Ability to understand the principles and working of user interface system with computing and mathematical foundation. Students can assess the hardware and software aspects of computer systems for to analyze the complex computer based systems for modeling and provides exact solution for the problem with the specific domain.
    PSO 2 : Knowledge based system development and exploration Ability to Possess knowledge of software development methodologies which makes them to design the new software process and allows for data interpretation, to integrate the current trend in information technology with the real time based solution and broad range of programming language and open source platforms which navigate them to communicate the same with good verbal and technical communications.
    PSO 3: Research initiation and incubation Ability to apply computing techniques to solve problems, model real world problem using appropriate data structure and suitable algorithm, which makes them to function effectively as individual and in multidisciplinary teams. And follows the ethical and social responsibility issues as a lifelong learner to identify the research gap and provide suitable solution with new ideas and innovations.
